Kalindi Pass Trek From Gangotri to Badrinath
|

trip involving visit to two of the most important pilgrimage for hindus
in India, trekking to the source of the Ganges, the most important
living goddess of India and to
the heart of Great Himalayas to the base of highest peaks and
negotiating high passes. Chances of encountering high altitude Himalayan
fauna e.g Bharal, Goral, snow leopard are very good on the trek.
This trek is for
experienced trekkers who have done treks earlier and know the sport.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive
- Delhi: Arrive
New Delhi and transfer to the Hotel for the overnight stay
Day 2: Delhi
- Rishikesh : Drive
to Rishikesh (230 km). Overnight at hotel.
Day 3: Rishikesh
- Uttarkashi : Drive
to Uttarkashi (1150 mt) 155 km. Overnight at River Side
Nature Resort.
Day 4: Uttarkashi
- Gangotri : Drive
to Gangotri (3090 mt) 95 km enroute visiting Dharali. Arrive Gangotri,
visit the temple and overnight stay in the Hotel / Tourist Banglow
Day 5: Gangotri
- Bhojbasa : Trek
to Bhojbasa (3792 mt) 5-6 hrs Arrive and camp for overnight stay.
Day 6: Bhojbasa
- Nandanvan : Trek
to Nandanvan (4337 m) 4-5 hours, the base of Bhagirathi peaks across the
Gangotri Galcier. Overnight in camp
Day 7: Nandanvan
- Vasukital : Trek
along Chaturangi Glacier to Vasukital (4898 MT) 3-4 hours. The trek is
steady upward. Overnight stay in camp situated by the side of the small
lake.
Day 8: Vasukital
- Khara Pathar : Trek
to Khara Pathar (5456 mt) 4-5 hours from Vasukital. Overnight stay in
the camp.
Day 9: Khara
Pathar -Kalindikhal Base : Trek
10 Km to Kalindikhal Base -Sweta Glacier- (5500 mt). Overnight stay in
the camp.
Day 10: Kalindikhal
Base - Rajparav : Trek
to Rajparav (4910 mt) in 4-5 hours spending some time at the Kalindi
Pass (5947 mt). Overnight stay in the camp.
Day 11: Rajparav
- Arwatal : Trek
to Arwatal (3910 mt) 13 km 5-6 hours . Overnight stay
in the camp.
Day 12: Arwatal
- Ghastoli : Trek
to Ghastoli (3796 km), 16 Km in 6-7 hours . Overnight stay in the camp.
Day 13: Ghastoli
- Mana - Badrinath : Trek to Mana village 14 Km in 5-6 hours, drive 2 Km to reach
Badrinath. Overnight stay in the Hotel.
Day 14: Badrinath
- Joshimath : Visit
the holy shrine of Badrinath and drive down to reach Joshimath 44 Km
from Badrinath. Overnight stay in the Hotel.
Day 15: Joshimath
- Rishikesh : Drive
to reach Rishikesh 253 km . Overnight stay at the hotel. Evening
sightseeing of Rishikesh.
Day 16: Rishikesh
- Delhi : Drive
to Delhi 230 km. On arrival transfer to the IGI Airport to board the
flight for onwards journey.

Important:
Being close to inner line , we require permit for the trek from District
administration . One has to finalize the trip at least two months before
with details of passport and photographso that we can receive the permit
well in time.
